Are they on the incline! I have noticed more bees this year than last, anyone else notice this?

Unfortunately, I have the opposite.
Various types of bumblebees, black bees, etc. are in significantly larger numbers this year, but the honey bee population is about 1/4 to 1/3 of what it was last year.
I can't help but wonder if the harder winter had anything to do with it.

Seeing about the same as in the past few years. We almost cheer whenever a honey bee buzzes around the yard.

I saw several honey bees at the end of winter. I have not seen them since. The three late frosts we had may have harmed them. The frosts and fierce winds blew all of the blossoms off the trees, so food may have been scarce, too. I am seeing some green bees, and I saw a large black bee a couple of days ago. Usually honey bees would be all over my squash blossoms, but not this year.

lots of bees around here...lots of honeysuckle here also... Off topic slightly: I wanted to know what variety of honeysuckle you have over there. When I was a kid all the farms had the lovely pink fragrant shrub. Then some expert declared that they attracted bugs or something and now it's impossible to buy them locally. Instead, they offer a reddish flowered bush that has no aroma!

I've been seeing a couple honeybees on my flowers along with bumblebees and other pollinators. Even saw a tiny pollinator roust a honeybee from a flower! ;D
