I have several daylillies but don't know the names. Some given to me some purchased from a local club and enjoy them all. These are evergreen here but bought some several years ago that died back after blooming and would like to get more of these at some point. I saw one blooming in a garden here in late Oct., must be a re-bloomer as they usually bloom here in Mar. and April.

That's a beautiful rain lily adobo....Wendy, pretty daylily's, a few look like mine. A couple years ago I bought daylily's online because they had a buy one, get two free sale. I bought too many. I probably have 15 daylily's now, I gave some of them away.....

On Saturday, 19 we were given a cluster by a lady in the same community garden, and divided it in three manageable groups, which are now in different places. She said the flower colour is red, but I don't think it will bloom this year. These are our only daylilies.

The daylilies we transplanted in May will bloom this year anyway, cause they have buds now.

I was just given about a dozen daylillies, do any of you experienced growers have suggestions on how to amend the soil for planting? Do I need to add anything to the soil such as phosphorous? Thanks, appreciate any help.

Our daylilies over here will be flowering soone when the weatehr warms up. My mother hates it when she goes out in the garden to see that I have eaten all her flowers, lol. I am now growing my own for eating to give her some peace.

DesertRat-daylillies do great with bone meal or blood meal as fertilizer.
