Anyone here grow peanuts and willing to share some pointers? I want to make a raised bed just for peanuts and was wondering what I should add to it just for growing peanuts!

in my experience, make sure there are no slugs or snails around, they leveled all peanuts I grew before they were 1/2 inch tall.

loose soil is a necessity, don't want to be picking peanuts one at a time out of clay clumps. just want to be able to loosen soil with a digging fork and pull the whole plant up with nuts attached.
Otherwise same as any other legume, and I like to give them all the time I can to grow their nuts, planting in early to mid May and harvesting in Oct about the time frost starts to get em. you'll likely have a bit longer season than I do bein some hundred miles further south and 800 ft lower elevation. Oh and I prefer the spanish peanut, little smaller than the verginia peanut but better flavor. I got one from an SSE member that was selected for higher percentage of 4 pea nuts, and it does have very few ones and two, mostly 3's and 4's.
