Took these pictures today of a bloom on one of my plants quite strange. If it were a tomato I would think fused blossom but did not know strawberries would do it. Anyone have any ideas?

That looks like a fused strawberry. Mom says she's seen "twins" when she was cleaning strawberries.

That's actually very common with strawberries. If you see a strawberry that is shaped like a fan, it is usually a fused bloom. Watch with amazement as that berry developes!

Just checked one of my three strawberry patches. There were 10 of those special blooms before I quite counting. There are only 40 plants in that bed.

I bought these plants last May and it is the first time for me to grow strawberries. I only have about 8 plants all in planters so hopefully it means a big berry to chow on. I ate one from a different plant it was so good.
