I have some sweets in both garden the ones in the sun look bad but are growing better than the good looking ones that are in a more shaded area. As you may know we have be around or over 100 degrees since before I can remember. I am wondering if this is the problem. Thanks for any help.

Hey Gix,
Those look like some nice sweets to me. I've not grown those with round leaves, so I'm not sure what you think is bad about them - is it the puckering on the leaves that you're concerned about? I don't really know, but in peppers, leaves that pucker like that is reportedly due to calcium deficiency - mabe a light balanced fertilizer with calcium might help.
Other than that, the heat shouldn't be a problem - last year we were breaking all kinds of records for heat and drought - and my sweets looked like carp - just like they look like right now - but I still got a nice healthy crop of large delicious taters. They can take the heat - just need plenty of water. We are still classed as extreme drought around here, but I can count on these to produce even in extreme conditions.

Yes it's the curling that is weird. My plants in my other bed are normal I have been growing from the same stock for years. I have never seen this. They are growing like mad so maybe I shouldnt worry.
