Tuesday, I took these pictures in my Mother's front yard. I don't mow much out there. I noticed wild Columbines growing in the private driveway, again. Here are some Trilliums that moved themselves lower on the slope where the soil is more moist. Originally, I rescued the Trilliums from a county ditch back around 1979 and planted them in a shady spot on the side of our sand hill; an esker. The sand was left by a stream as the glaciers receded. Here's a Marsh Marigold growing in a swampy area below the house. About 25 years ago, we dug some specimens from a different ditch and planted them down below. Some Periwinkle we brought from our old house when we moved in 1967. It has spread quite nicely.

A solitary Trillium in the Periwinkle. An old Pine stump that used to have a Birch tree growing in it. Michigan's White Pines were logged in the 1880s and this stump is from that era.

Nice looking poison ivy around that stump...

From 16 June, some wild Roses near the back of the house. I climbed the ladder for this one.
