How about a thread that shows off our harvest. Big or small lest show them all. I will start with today's pickens.

Thought I would put up another of the hearts I picked, along with a few other things.

Love those melons. My photo is a one day haul from last week. Those in front are Red Butter Heart and they average 26 ounces with the largest 34 oz. It has been a pretty good year so far with sizes beginning to be reduced as always. No blights at all so far.

I picked all those last Thursday, peppers, melons and all. The melons have been averaging 55 to 60 pounds each. If I picked all the regular maters, they wouldn't fit on the table. I'm like you more maters then I know what to do with. Canned maters yesterday and made up 23 pints of spaghetti sauce today out of the hearts in the pic.

Really enjoyed all those photos! I have only 10 tom plants but they are all so prolific that it's too much. I don't can, I freeze, and our chest freezer isn't big enough. What to do, what to do. Have given some away, but sometimes you can't find anyone who wants any, as they already got from somebody else!
Have been feeding my Bali toms. to the chickens. If you saw Bali, you'd know why. They are so flattened and twisted that you can't do anything with them.

Got a dehydrator? Dried tomatoes are terrific, and you can store a lot in a small space.

Gardeners, I have to say the maters just keep coming. Picked these this morning and could have picked a lot more. Watching 4 gallons of sauce cook down as I type from some of them.

That's a great haul of beautiful fruit. 4 gallons of sauce is a big batch. Hope you don't have to sit up all night waiting for it to cook down! And are those tomato seeds fermenting in those clear plastic cups behind the 'maters?

Well it is past 1 am and still a couple more hours. 2 gal. spaghetti sauce and 2 gal. pizza sauce. And yes those are seeds fermenting. there is like 27 of them over there right now plus some buckets on the floor. Packed 37 varieties that were dry away last night, so yes it is busy around these parts right now.

Re dried toms, is this something you can do in the oven? We don't have a dehydrator.

Thought I would post a few more over here just to keep some activity going. Found this one yesterday, a new segregate out of a yellow line I planted this spring. Really surprised me when i stumbled upon it yesterday for I had always been waiting for it to turn yellow but then it dawned on me it wasn't going to. Might add it was quite tasty. Materman

Hay statcat, that looks about like the mess I put up the other day. Had 4 plants of Principe Bolognese that needed picked. got 25 pounds off them. Yours do look quite tasty.
