Thought I would post a pick of a few melons I picked today. The watermelon are Mississippi Cob Gem and the cantaloupe are Italian Yellow Canary and Ananas Melon. Two of the watermelon are at 60lbs. and another is at 55lbs. the cantaloupe turned out to be quite tasty. Well worth the effort of growing. Saving seeds for all so holler if in need. ![](http://i1338.photobucket.com/albums/o695/kyud8/1_zps00b37df9.jpg)

I'd love a few of the Mississippi Cobb Gem to try next year. Is Italian Yellow Canary similar to Juan Canary?

Drahkk, I will add them to the seeds I owe you. I think the difference between the Juan Canary and the Yellow Canary, is that mine is #3 which is 20 days or so shorter in maturity.

Size, yes, plus they're round, where everything I've got at the moment is enlongated (makes them easy to identify if several varieties get tangled). Baker Creek says they're extra sweet, and the "Mississippi" in the name tends to make me think they'd grow well here. Hence the interest.
On another note, I'm glad to see Ananas turns yellow when ripe. This is my first year growing them, and I planted late, so they're all still forming, and dark green at the moment. I always like a melon that signals when it's ready!
