My poor pepper plants that lived through some very hot Texas heat during the summer are coming back to life. after our first good rain a couple weeks ago I gave them some Espoma Garden Tone and now lost leaves are growing back on one bell that only had top leaves and one jalapeno and my Thai pepper is in full bloom. Btw the Jalapeno that is blooming has one pod so far. Also three plants I bought at HEB recently are doing well and should be in bloom any time now. So despite everything we should have some peppers in the near future.

Glad to hear you are at least going to have a few. We in Missouri were a little better off then you, for i gave away a five gal. bucket of red and orange bells yesterday. Got the freezer full and I still got buckets full. Do you have to worry about frost where you live?

Although we got here at the end of winter we had no frost. This was around 02/28.We got here to late to start seeds and prepare the soil as I would have. Just wait till next season we will be ready. And my niece said no frost before we arrived. I do plan on planting a few greens for fall and maybe some of the cabbage family to and we should get away with radishes and maybe some scallions and fava beans.
