As we are ever so slowly warming up, and I'm looking at my broccoli seedlings, I'm thinking they're going to want to go into the ground as soon as possible. I expect mid-April to be able to get into my community plot, so my first thought is to put them there.
It's a busy month for me though, so I'm not sure I'll have the time to get my fence up yet. I know we've had deer in the gardens... do deer nibble on brassicas? I suppose if they're truly hungry they'll eat just about anything, but does anyone have any firsthand experience/knowledge?

No, they have never bother the brassica family. A little lettuce, some early tomatoes makes a great snack.

Nope, never had deer bother them, but I suppose there's always a first time! Now slugs, worms, loopers, and ground hogs are a different story!!

Gosh, I think we have about 3 moose in the whole state, and they are likely hundreds of miles away, so we should be good there.
No reports of deer eating brassica is a great thing. I think tomorrow I'll get some cabbage seeds sown as well.
