Throw the loose parts into when you're working on a mower etc.

Wetting small quantities of starter mix for potting up, punch holes in the bottom for potting up plants into, freezing leftovers - loves my butter bowls, cool whip containers and sour cream containers.

Out of curiosity, I buy my butter in blocks. Do they sell it in tubs also?

I keep nails, screws, etc in them. Ditto, bringing small quantities of fertilizer to the garden. Water dishes for the animals outside. I keep seeds in some (the big ones).IF I run out of small pots when I'm re-potting seedlings, I'll use them.

That's are primary use for them w8in4dave ... We used them back when we were in the competition of growing GIANT PUMPKINS for cucumber beetle traps... Take a tub (YELLOW PREFERRED) Coat the inside with Tanglefoot, then add a cotton ball or q-tip that is soaked in Eugenol (available from your pharmacist) this attracts the beetles...the tangle foot won't let them leave... Put these around the perimeter of your pumpkin or squash patch
