Today we are having a blessed day almost 60F (15.5c) and the sun is just shining. I have turned off the heat and opened windows.

Yeah, I could do that too, but I somehow don't think the houseplants would appreciate it. Snowing yet again and a balmy 32F when I went out for a walk...

Hit 34F(1C) today so I got a nice walk. It felt great after -13.5F(-25C) on Sunday morning. Sounds really rough Dude, Land and Lefty!

Cool and foggy. In Seattle, we don't tan, we rust.

Today is low 70's with high 50's tonight. Scattered thunderstorms forecast for later today.
Tomorrow is forecast similar temps with showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.
We really really need to dry out so I can do some tilling. If I had had about 2-3 more days of sunshine, I could have done some good. Oh well, wishful thinking. It's always like this in Jan/Feb.

A couple days respite from the cold here, then back to winter. Wednesday (Groundhog Day) promises to be cloudy tho, that means an early spring.

Monday Jan 31 at 111 a.m.: freezing drizzle, about 1/2" coating of ice on everything, ice pellets beginning to mix with forecast of 4-7 inches of snow on top of that tonight turning colder (0 to -5) and more snow tomorrow. So long as we can get to the airport in Des Moines Saturday for our flight to Florida it's going to be OK.

At around 19F(-7C) this afternoon, I saw a guy in shorts standing around outside the courthouse in town! Anytime the temp hits 50F(10C), I'm in shorts around town.

It's STILL snowing. Duane had a snow day, but spent a good portion of it outside shovelling. Michael managed to escape, but of course my camera batteries died before I could get video of him trying to figure out how to get un-mired from the deep snow. He's been crashed on the bed ever since and that was hours ago! Twenty minutes went by and I couldn't see his paw prints or my footprints out there. Crazy.

WOW, we had a heat wave today. It hit 20° F, -6.67° C. The lowest high temperature since December 22. 1990. I heard on the weather that it was warmer in Green Bay, Wisconsin then here in Dallas, Texas.

On Ground Hog Day, we had 13-14" (33-35.5cm) of fresh snow around my county. I saw my shadow later in the day. lol. Shoveled and blew snow.
Today at 30F(-1C), I started snow raking my roof. I still have a knee-high drift to work on. And start raking Mom's. Beats climbing on the roof and shoveling.

27F right now. Ice and hard frost everywhere. Supposed to warm up to around 60F highs over next several days, then Wed and Thursday nights back in the 20'sF. Looks like it's going to be a late spring. Beginning to think about delaying first tomato plants in the ground for this season.

txdirtdog, Don't ya just love Texas weather..lol..I wouldn't live anywhere else.. As the saying goes, if ya don't like the weather, then wait a half hour. I believe it was Pecos Bill that fell asleep after leaning his double barrel against a cactus and woke up to 1 barrel full of rainwater and the other barrel dusty?
