horsea are you talking about the long pine needles?
So far we haven't had a drop of rain. We keep getting a warning across the bottom of the TV but so far nothing.

Your place looks beautiful!
Watching the radar, looks like gage next round of rain is about an hour out. It's raining on Gastonia now.

horsea are you talking about the long pine needles? So far we haven't had a drop of rain. We keep getting a warning across the bottom of the TV but so far nothing. I was wondering about the rust coloured mulch around the flowers in the first two photos. If those are long pine needles, well, I have never seen such long needles in my life is all I can say. Is this something you gather from the forest or do you buy it in bags or what.

Okay, tks for info, Timothyt. I like the reddish look but if it was me, I'd grind it up in the lawnmower first as I prefer fine-type mulches. But your garden is just gorgeous.

This is nigella. It's so dainty and I love how it will have different color flowers on the same plant. the peonys loved the cold winter weather
