First post...
Having just started a veggie patch I have planted pumpkins. I accidentally cut the trail on mine to around 4ft. No flowers on it yet. Will this be ok to leave? Many thanks

Many thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I saw that some people do cut the main vine back as pruning...not to 4 feet, but I would leave it and see what happens. I also saw recommendations to bury the cut end of the vine in soil to prevent moisture loss. I don't personally know if this is helpful or not.

It has come back strong, pushing out new trails and spreading wider, I don't think any long term damage done!
