I'm attempting to grow these this year, have them started in the greenhouse later to be planted in tubs outside. This way if the weather doesn't cooperate they can be moved back to the greenhouse in the fall. Anyone else growing these, got any hints that might be useful? Although I grown a lot of different things over the years with great success, I know nothing about these three, only what I've read. I need someone to hold my hand LOL.

Sorry, I don't know anything about those crops. But there is a member over on Idig who grows oca, and I think maybe yacon as well. He goes by the handle of "woo" and has posted on the subject. Here is one of his threads on oca: idigmygarden.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61931Hope this helps!

Annette, Woo was the last guy who did a fair amount with growing those. He may have been on here and Alan Bishops forums as well as I dig. I mention him, even though I have not seen his type-face inna year or more. If any body knows your plants its him. *Snicker* Laura beat me to it.

I have grown oca, ended up giving up on it (did not like eating them) they are day length sensitive, so they don't produce tubers until fall where I am they did not have the time to finish up before the frost the trick is to cover them in the morning or night to simulate a shorter day earlier in the fall past that they are pretty easy to grow, just don't let the tubers freeze as it kills them
