A couple of shots of my Uncle Mark Bagby (a large pink). I started this one back in early February as an experiment with a new indoor seed starting space, then put it in a large pot outside my garage doors. There is already a single half-dollar sized tomato on the plant, plus numerous blooms. The other tomatoes I started (later in the season) are still in peat pots and should be ready for the garden in a few more weeks.

Got about 20 fruits on this plant so far .... I have started selectively removing some of them in order to encourage better sized fruits. Had a minor scare with aphids and white flies, but a couple of Neem Oil applications did the trick (I could have used a soap spray, but the Neem Oil was already mixed and in the sprayer).

Same plant, same spot ---- except that there's a ripening tomato already! This picture was taken on 5/22/2015.

Southern comfort -- lettuce and tomato are from my plantings, thick-cut bacon, toasted whole grain bread, and Bama Mayonnaise ...... the tomato is sweet, low-acid, firm flesh; smaller than I expected - 6 ounces - but I have other varieties growing which are larger, so I'm happy with this one.
