For this week's pepper, I suggest an old standby: Hot Banana. Has anyone grown it? How hot is it? Did it do well for you?

I'm watching this one close as we love the sweet banana pepper and would like to hear about the scoville heat on these.

I don't know what the scoville rating is on them but I've been growing hot banana peppers for several years and some years they are hotter than my jalepenos. It has a very interesting heat that I feel in the back of my throat - too much of it makes me choke but I love a little on a salad or added to a cooked dish. I usually cut them into very small pieces and just sprinkle some over whatever I'm using them in.
