From what I hear, the King of the North bell pepper is popular in short season areas; supposedly it produces well in areas where most bell peppers don't have time to ripen. So I'd love to hear from our members up North whether this pepper lives up to its reputation. Also, has anyone in the South grown this one? In my long-season area I don't need a pepper to be early, but it's always good to get ripe peppers a couple of weeks earlier! Does it hold up to Southern heat and disease pressures? Alternatively, would it work as a fall pepper variety down here?

It does mature quickly here and makes large bells. I tend to like small/medium sized peppers with thicker walls for my short/early season harvests.
