Heard of it, never tried it, don't believe it has any beneficial effect on the garden except for me after a hard day digging in the dirt. One person's research using an organic form of the ingredient in aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) applied as a foliar spray reduced disease and increased production in several different plants. My opinion (is it worth anything since I have never done the research?) is that the testing was flawed and the results inconclusive. Using willow bark infused water may actually do something but the chemically produced ingredient may actually do more harm than good if not strictly controlled amounts are used. The increase, if any, in production and reduction, if any, in disease is probably coincidental.
So there. That is my take on the whole thing. If you have the time and inclination, do it just to see what it really does.

A commercial grower recommended 1 aspirin / gallon of water for tomatoes. I can't recall why. I need to ask him when I make an order.

I tried it, back in that bad blight year I had here, and it didn't help any. They were toutin' everything back then, but only a few things really helped, and none reversed the effects of the blight. I haven't done any experiments, to see if it is as good a prophylactic as Actinovate, FI. Maybe it seves better as a prophylactic, instead of a cure.

I grew meadowsweet a while ago, it sure worked on me, if I used it on the garden it would be from that plant
