Up at the daughters a neighbor has a loose flock of ducks. The whites (angel) are Long islanders, the darker Muscovy ducks are the "devil" ducks.
The neighbors are not really doing anything to corral their flock. All are sort of on a neighborhood rampage.
Herself has bopped a couple that went into the soup pot after refusing to leave her house...
Daffy the elder Muscovy drake is being hall monitor for his duck sitting on a clutch of eggs in SIC's front flower bed. More as I learn it...

I would not be too surprized if the son-in-law bops the duck and makes scrambled eggs out of the clutch of eggs.

You'd think that the clueless neighbor would notice her flock dwindling. But then, maybe not.
I've read that duck eggs are richer than chicken eggs. I wonder how scrambled duck eggs would taste? (Assuming that a duckling hasn't developed too much, ick!)

Any egg taken early enough will be spot-free, and fairly yummy. Duck eggs are larger and have (or at least other devil-duck collected eggs, were) have thicker albumen. An' made a pretty fair omellette.

Daisy was still sitting on her clutch of eggs last time I stopped in at SIC. She tries hissing when ever you approach too near. And breaks off her hiss at the gift of some corn...

Daisy, her Donald, the kids, and just about all the Muscovy ducks that were camping rough disapered in a few days over a month ago. The guess is coy got 'em. And all in the course of a couple nights...
Long-island ducks roosted indoors. Makes all the difference I guess.
