God it's annoying...when is winter gonna be over? I ended up splitting my lip open so whenever I opened my mouth to talk or even eat I'd tear it open even more and eating anything spicy is very painful.

www.mycarmex.com/classic-lip-balm/original-jar/Carmex will sting pretty bad for a few minutes after each use if your lips are already cracked or torn. However, if you use it several times a day for a few days it will heal your lips right up! Then you can use it just a couple of times a day to prevent further problems. If you know you're prone to dry, cracked lips, you need to make lip balm part of your life, at least in the winter. Chapstick or the various Burt's Bees lip balms are good preventative balms, and they don't have that strong menthol smell like Carmex. But when your lips are already torn up, in my family's experience, Carmex fixes them much faster.

Burt's Bees lip balm is my go-to. And for cracked fingers and cuticles it's just wonderful. I always "fill in the cracks" with it. But I was mad when they removed comfrey from the ingredients! I like comfrey and I don't care about the warnings.
