Does anyone here grow this style of tater, and if so, which one do you think would grow and produce well in a bucket??

I grew Austrian Crescent in a raised bed this year, but I don't know how they would grow in a bucket. I have my doubts about any potato producing very well in a bucket. If you try it, let us know how well it works.

Correct answer would probably be none. Most like to produce a lot of foliage and the underground is matched with long stolons. Magic Molly or Ozette would need a big bucket for their long tubers to form in. French or Red Thumb would probably work since none of their tubers ever get very large.

I'm growing some now in containers. Don't know the varieties since they were from some organic fingerlings purchased at the store. Red, white, and purple. They all seemed eager to grow. My personal preference would be to grow standards, but they were there, so I bought them...
I've seen some videos of fingerlings being grown in containers, and the harvest seemed good. Of course there would be a tendency for people to only post videos of successes and not failures. Most 'potato reveal' videos are of standard spuds.
I'll try to remember to post here how this experiment turns out.
