Do you prefer the all solid color or the mixed colors, and do they need to blink?
We like the ones that blink with different colors, but I do put a string of non-blinking lights inside the tree.

I used to like the all white ones but since they came out with LED Christmas lights I like the non blinking multi colored ones.
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!!!!!!!!!

The ones I have are all red and green - chili pepper lights! And I do not like blinkers.

We use the multi-colored small bulbs both indoors and out...mostly because that is what we have.

On our tree, I prefer small, 'white', non blinking lights. I want the ornaments to be what stand out. No tree this year however.
On houses and other decorations, whatever anyone puts up. The more creative the better. I really like all the glitz around Christmas and enjoy taking different routes home after dark to see more of it. Last night one of the neighbors had some sort of colorful light pattern reflected on their garage door. Not sure how they did it. Yet.

Gianna, I am with you about small, white non-blinking lights on the Christmas tree, for the same reasons. Also the tree is in the living room where I see it a lot, and blinking lights tire my eyes after a while. Outside, I love all of the bling and colors, too! One of our family traditions for Christmas Eve is to drive around looking at lights before we send the kids to bed. There is one house in particular that has an *amazing* display. It's kind of out of the way, but every year lots of people drive down that street and creep by (or even stop in the road) just to look at it. Hopefully they have their display up again this year.

I do have a lot of the small lights also, some steady and others flashing. I decided that I should cut back a bit . . . so last year the neighbor boy bought a house and his sister is getting married soon, so I purged a bit. I gave them a couple trees and over 50 strands of the little twinkle lights. Bunch of other stuff too. The electric company was sad. Remember I did tell you guys in a different thread that I had all the taste and self control of a deranged magpie when it came to sparklies. I was not exaggerating!

And that display I was talking about was back this year. spike, the real question is how long it will take you to replace all of the bling you purged with shiny new sparklies and make the electric company happy again?
