Here I prefer mostly the fiberglass handles as sometimes I get lazy or just forget to get them up and they get rained on... but don't get me wrong some of these are gas powered and they do make it back to the barn when i'm done...LOL!

I am not choosy. Much depends on price, availability, and expected performance.

I voted for wood because most of my garden tools have wooden handles and were handed down to me by my Old Uncles. (we have strange family heirlooms) I do have a metal post hole digger?

While I love nice wood handles, and most of my handles are wood, I chose fiberglass for practicality. I garden all parts of the yard, and tend to just leave tools where I last used them. I also have several shovels, forks, rakes, hoes... 90% of which are used from yard sales. Almost all came with wood handles, some of which are not in primo shape. So I use them till they break, and then use another. In a way it is kind of sad that so many tools for gardening show up in yard sales. But most people have no use for them anymore. I rarely pay more than $2 for anything. Unless it's new or special, then $5 is absolute tops. Usually.

I like the feel of old wood. I have several broken wood handles and replacement wood costs more than a whole new tool. It would most likely be smarter to have fiberglass.

I like both. I have a lot of wooden handled tools and like them, save for one issue. And that is that the wasps like them, so when the wasps are out and about I have to be mindful and check over my shovel/hoe/rake before grabbing it.
ETA: I did not vote in the poll because my choice would be wood or fiberglass. I try not to use gas powered anything because gardening is a zen thing for me- I like it quiet. DH usually runs the tiller for me on a day when I am not home.
