Hi all. Just wanted to announce that a few of us Hi all. Just wanted to announce that a few of us on the Homegrown Goodness forum have started a multi-user collaboration to create a comprehensive database of known pea varieties (including rare ones) in Wiki format. It is meant to be comprehensive in that it could provide information to the average gardener, but also important genetic information for plant breeding. Anyone is welcome to join the discussion or the wiki as long as you play nice. Thanks all! And hope to see more contributions in the future. Pea Database Collaboration Project Here is the thread discussion on it: alanbishop.proboards.com/thread/9219/pea-database-collaboration-project Here is my website that is currently hosting it: biolumo.com/index.php?title=Pea_Database_Collaboration_Project And here is the "backup site". The backup is currently a little behind, but i hope to keep a backup source in case my site ever goes down. I'm a poor college student so hosting it myself costs money. I might even move the backup to the MIT OpenAg forum in the future if it has a warm welcome there. I also would not be opposed to having OSSI The Open Source Seed Initiative host it if they ever get their own plant breeding forum and/or wiki site. openwetware.org/wiki/Pea_Database_Collaboration_Project Anyway! Enjoy! and help us out! Who knows, maybe we will do Squash varieties next or something else! -Andrew

Wow, what a great project! I have nothing to contribute, but what a fabulous resource you all are working to put together.

When you say pea, will this include cowpeas?
