Plant ASAP. By that I mean now for Texas. It will bolt quickly as soon as it gets warm. Or plant it in the fall after the weather starts to cool. It grows fast and can survive to the low-20s. At least in my yard it did. Very tender leaves - tender enough for use in salads. Mild flavor. It forms a rosette of rounded rich green leaves - it's quite a pretty little plant, pretty enough for an ornamental bed. myfolia.com/plants/957-tatsoi-brassica-narinosa

One of my favorite greens for fall, but I don't usually plant it in the spring, since it bolts very quickly from just a brief heat spell. If they show a hint of bolting, just pull the whole plant and use it - it is still good. Until they bolt you can cut the perimeter of the plants, and they keep growing back, as with most Brassicas.

pepperhead212 , Laura_in_FL , Thanks! That's just the type of info I need. I just ordered it last night, so I can't plant right away. I guess I'll keep it till fall.

It's a nice little green. When I am into growing mixed salad greens, it's one I plant. Easy to save it's seed as well. It's a cute little thing.
