A carry over question from yesterday's question...If prevention fails and you catch the flu... how do you treat it?

Aspirin for the fever and lots and lots of fluids including chicken soup if you can keep it down.
If you realize that it's the flu and call the doctor right away within the first 24 hours he can prescribe Tamiflu which is an anti viral drug. It only works if you take it within the first 24 hrs but my husband got the really high fever and the body aches one New year's Eve and I called the doctor and got the Tamiflu prescription. He thought that he was dying on New Year's Eve but by New Year's Day he was weak but almost himself again.

^ What they said. And stay away from people - no work or school or shopping if you can possibly avoid it - until your fever is gone. No one else wants your flu!
