What do you consider to be signs of Spring, and have you seen/heard any signs yet?

I am starting to see the crocus and daffodils showing their little heads.
Some people consider robins to be a sign of spring but they are actually here all winter, they are just not seen on the lawn because the ground is frozen and the worms have burrowed too deep for them to reach.
However I do consider it to be a sign of Spring when I hear the Canada Geese flying over my house heading back north. We hear them flying South in the Fall. It's a pleasant sound with their honking high up in the air as they fly over.

Years ago Home Depot was selling bags of 100 daffodil bulbs. I bought a bag! Got a shovel, potting soil and went to town. Threw a bulb, where it landed I planted 5 or 6 bulbs there. Closed my eyes, spun around, whatever direction I was facing when I stopped I threw another bulb etc until I was out of bulbs.
My signs of Spring is a back yard full of daffodils and No signs of Spring yet. Not in Ohio in February!

Won't see any green signs of spring until April. We traditionally get big snow storms in March that take a while to melt off. Good thing is we have not gotten as much snow as some years, so not as thick a crusty base under it that will be slow to melt. We've had weeks of sub-zero temps, so nothing will bud for a while.
My only sign of spring is the earlier sunrise, and the sun is gradually rising further to the north and lighting up a different part of my living room now.

No snow and the crocus popping up. Absolute sign of spring is the Turkey Vultures soaring overhead. No sign here with 4-6 inches of snow covering everything.

It's a very rare year when we see the actual light at the end of the tunnel in March. It has happened twice in the last ten years, but I won't be holding my breath this year.

I saw those nasty vultures circling last week...
The sandhill cranes are much more fun to listen to & watch....
Plenty of daffodils in bloom, lots of hellebore... The bombogenisis killed all my winter greens, so I have a bunch of new sprouted... and snow peas too.

Here it's the first blooms of California poppies, followed by the first native blue lupines. I noticed the first poppies a week or two ago in the yard, but I don't think there will be any blooming lupines this year because there's not been enough rain. My mom has been dead for 30 years, and to this day, whenever I see the first local lupines blooming, I immediately think I should call mom to tell her. Some things you never outgrow.

Well currently my dark blue car is coated yellow with pine pollen. Ugh, this! But in happier signs of spring, the red maple trees are in bloom, which means the other spring flowering trees (tree tulips and redwoods, and later dogwoods) won't be too far behind. I saw buds on a couple of azaleas when I was out and about, too. Oh, and it's 80 degrees right now...too warm for February in my book. The 10 day forecast is all upper 70s highs, too. I hope we get some more cool days and don't leap right into summer!

We currently have some ornamental plum trees blooming, but they shouldn't be. (Had a warm spell- 70s last week.) Usually you know spring is around the corner when you see the forsythia blossoms, crocus, and daffodils.

The small songbirds are starting to sing their Spring songs. I hear different sounds when I go outside and I also noticed that the forsythia branches are taking on a reddish hue.
Someone mentioned pussy willow and if you have never seen this the catkins (furry parts) get yellow with pollen in the spring. This is one of the first pollen sources for my honeybees. I have 2 huge pussy willow bushes at the outer edge of my yard.

We've had some very spring-like weather through February! Daffodils are blooming a couple of weeks earlier than usual. I use forsythia blooming as a sign to plant cool weather spring crops like lettuce, radishes, spinach, peas, etc. I saw my first one blooming today. The forecast for the next week looks great but who knows after that? A few years ago, we had a very mild winter and everything started to bloom and then ZAP! The spring was much colder than usual and froze a lot of the spring blooms for us. I tell myself we need the cold to kill the insects that damage our gardens but I really do not tolerate cold well. It's very hard for me to work a morning farmers market right next to the Chesapeake Bay with the wind blowing and stand in the cold. I'd like things to stay warm, please!

High out here today of 73°; supposed to be 78° tomorrow! Did I fall asleep for 2 months? I know what you mean, it's been warm, but cloudy until today. Now our temps are dropping and they are talking winter advisory just a little to the north of me. It's rained all day and it's raining now, supposed to rain all this week. I might need a kayak soon

I saw a definite sign of spring today. I have a small deck with a roof over it and it has 2 non opening triangular windows to let in some extra light.
Today about 500 disgusting big black flies were up at the windows! Yuk.
