I only wish. A Nor' Easter is headed our way.

Winter's icy grip is not done in the Great Plains quite yet. Spring is on the way. You can tell because one day is nice the next is nasty. In Iowa the girls high school basketball State Tournament is the time for a final blizzard. But yesterday there were several robins in the yard. The body and mind are ready for warmer weather. Every year winter lasts longer.

Do you feel that winter is done with in your area? Here in NE Ohio? ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha *snort* ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha *gasp* ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha *wheeze* ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha *whew* I think the worst job in the world would be a weather man in Ohio. Lately it has been in the high 50s in Feb? Plus like Brown said, we are expecting a Nor'easter to become a bomb cyclone tomorrow.

I expect another frost, but hope not. So many things are budding and blooming early that a frost might damage much.

Like Jason, I expect another frost. This year I'm not planting until Good Friday even though it is in the 70's today.

For sure not.
However, it's very calm out today and that makes me wary. In like a lamb means out like a lion, and I hate end of March snowstorms!

I think we're due for more snow in March, our snowiest month. We used to plant the garden right after Mother's Day. Last year we got horrible hail on May 8 (closing down a whole mall for 6 months) and a snowstorm on May 18. The garden got planted near May 30. So I'm sure winter is not finished for us. Like ladymarmalade, March is coming in like a lamb, so we'll be looking for the lion the rest of the month.

I'm going to be the outlier and say yes - winter is done for me. I expect to have some cool nights (maybe around 40) but I don't think I will get any more frosts. Frost is possible all through March where I live, but it's uncommon after the second week of March. Todau is March 1 and there is no potential frost in the 10-day forecast. So, if the 10-day forecast is still clear on the 5th, I'll start planting. Now, watch me have to eat my words - and frantically try to protect my plants - in a week or two.

Winter over...... not here.....
We don't get to set tomato plants in the ground until the third week of May and sometimes early June.....
Santa lives just down the street

We usually get a cold snap around Easter, but I'm optimistic this year. Pants off, summer's coming.<<<not literally. LAUGHING

Winter is still here and I do not anticipate any warming trend. I like for March to be "coldish", for April to be a bit milder and for May really mild. What has been happening in the past few years is that either March or April were warmer than normal, and the cold weather bit us in May. That's always the worst scenario.

Okay I need to defend my 'sassy' answer from earlier. We have been hitting temps in the high 50s or low 60s for the past week. It is currently snowing.

Yep, sure do. As I look out the window, it is snowing hard. At least can not last too long.

As much as I would maybe like to start gardening, I'm glad winter here is still 'winter'... Tail end of Nor'easter still passing through...windy out there still...Pretty good size tree limb down with no damage...snow is done...
