During the gardening season in your area what do you do when it's raining and you just can't get outside?

Those are the days when I do those things that I didn't do inside on other days because it was just "too nice to stay inside".

Rainy days can just about be counted on one hand here. A good year we get about eight inches of rain, some years more, some less. During the growing season, it will seldom rain very often. (Unless I have hay down) If it does rain, it is the the opportunity to go to town and have coffee with the boys.

I could spend it cleaning stuff but that's no fun all the time... I have multiple art projects going on at any given time...stained glass, quilts, counted cross stitch, knitting/crocheting, huck weaving and other stuff... That keeps me busy...

Grab a shovel and clean my house!! Cause if it is nice out, I am out playing in the garden, tending the yard, playing with the dogs or in the pool. I will also be in the pool in the rain as long as there isn't a lot of lightening. So house cleaning is never on my list during gardening season except for icky weather days.

Read. Plan another year's garden. Re-read old garden diaries. Try to remember what I just read!

I usually go out and look around when I get home, since I would normally be wet already, but usually don't touch anything, since it's not good to harvest when plants are wet, and I don't really want to walk in any more mud! lol Normally, if the rain was forecast, I'll harvest what I want the day before. As for things other than gardening and cooking, there's always the workshop.
