I noticed that a few members use something similar to this so I thought I would post a link to one that looks interesting and easy to make... Jab Planter...

Mine's not as elaborate, but I do use something similar. I also taped a funnel on it, so I don't have to fumble trying to get seeds down the pvc. I use 1" pvc

That's pretty clever! As my back is getting fussy about being hunched over for seeding, I may have to try this. But just a plain pvc pipe will do for me too. I can just eyeball the distance between seed placement. I always over seed and thin later anyway, figuring some will not come up.

I like that idea! I have a bunch of pvc scraps around - I could make one with a 5" space, so they would be right for the CRW that I make all the trellises with.

I just collected pvc scraps to make one with, while I was outside today. I won't need a can on it - I never plant that many of one variety, though I could make something to attach to it from wood scraps, which those little dishes I soak seeds in could set in them.

Nice ideas, I think a more wider opening on the can may work better for me, thought.Reaching my fingers into a small can might be more difficult.
