To me this was funny!
We have an elderly lady in our family (She's 93)
I call her aunt although she really isn't. She's related to us, but I forget how.
She came to visit my Mom and Uncle awhile back. Her son brought her to spend a few days so she could visit. He told my Mom that she was capable of tending to herself, but to make sure she kept up with her teeth. She's bad about losing them. He told her she once lost hers and had found his and thought they were hers.
Fast forward story just a second. My Uncle will not wear his teeth except meal time and when we go to town. He keeps them in a covered dish on the bathroom vanity.
Ok, back to story. During her visit one morning the lady came into the living room and sat down and was talking to my uncle. She mentioned that her teeth didn't feel right. My uncle jumped up from his chair and went to the bathroom, when he came back, he was wearing his teeth and Mom said he didn't remove them till the lady had left.
Mom was telling us that story on the way to town and I'm just dying with laughter. My uncle isn't much for Jokes and he tells me. "I don't see a danged thing funny. I don't know what I would have done if she would have had my teeth." He said, "Y'all can quit laughing anytime cause that ain't funny!"
I still have tears in my eyes from laughing at this yesterday! Mom tells us this story ever so often and I laugh everytime.
