We have friends that have a grooming trailer and they come to the house for us. So today our babies got all clean. Baby Cricket is NOT a fan of her bath and you can see her in hiding AFTER her bath lol

The kids look so pretty and spiffy in their new scarfs! What a great idea to have a mobile grooming trailer, much less traumtic than bringing the dogs to a strange place to have it done. Although I can see them running to hide under the bed when they see it pull up!

The funny thing is that all 3 of the pups LOVE our groomers. They see the truck and trailer coming down the road and go nuts. They bark, jump and wag their tails off. Missy and Hershey do not mind their bath but Cricket has never forgiven them for her first bath and they come every single month lol.

My big dog loves going to the vet. Our little one hates it. Go figure.

My first boxer hated baths so much that She would run if she saw me carrying a towel. I adapted. I would just pick her up and carry her to the bathroom and then shut the door to go get the towels and dog shampoo.

It's always a toss up about bathing animals. Had a cat that would get in the bath with you and demand his bath and now, I have a lab that is NOT going to get wet at all, either by hose, pool or rain!!!
Your pups look so sweet, Spike.

It's "that time" in an hour. He has to have a bath before he goes to see Grandmother.

I wonder what the solution is to a dog truly hating a bath. Maybe some kind of comb-through powder?

I had to tie Sally, my lab mix to a fence post on a very short leash. I would have many buckets of water and shampoo ready. Last rinse was with a hose or a dip in the lake when most of the soap was already rinsed off. It was almost impossible to make her stay in the bathtub, and constant shaking would get me and the hallway dripping wet, even working mostly behind the shower curtain, not to mention all the loose dog hair in the tub to clog up the drain. She loved to roll in any rotten fish that washed up, and had at least one skunk encounter every every year. Went through many gallons of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda mix to make her fit to come in the house!
