Tomatoes are just starting to ripen, digging up beets, cucumbers are getting big and the green beans are about ready to pick.

Oh yes. I picked my first okra pods this week and I saw a teeny weenie cucumber on my vines yesterday.
Zucchini also have their first small fruits which should be ready to pick in a few days.
Picked my first green beans and we ate them for dinner last night. So tender and tasty.
Dug my volunteer potato plants yesterday and I didn't weight them but I probably got 10 lbs of nice red and white potatoes. Will be making foil packets of sliced potatoes, onions, butter and spices for the grill tonight.
Saw my first full sized tomato with a slight pink color last night.

I plan to blanch and freeze a batch of sugar snap peas today, along with 10 heads of broccoli. So far, I have eaten a couple of Stupice and Stick tomatoes, one Bétamax and yesterday tasted my two first Sun Gold cherries. Lettuce, chard and kale continue.

I pulled my garlic yesterday and it is simply beautiful! The garlic is in a raised bed fortunately!

A couple weeks ago I harvested my garlic; used a generous amount, so far, though it's not cured entirely yet. Had a few sugar snap peas, but not a huge harvest. And this last week, the beans, eggplants and tomatoes started to come in. And those bottle gourds were the huge harvest - over 20 from 2 plants, and all the ones from the long variety have been over 2 lbs. A lot of green peppers, but none ripe yet. I'll have to pick a few greens today, and use a couple of those ripe tomatoes, for some guacamole.

Raspberries. But in order to get them I have to navigate the mosquito cloud. I've never seen them so thick here at home!
I could harvest some baby lettuce or chard if I wanted to, but I'd like it to mature a bit yet.

Raspberries are slowing down. One head of cabbage so far. Nice size spuds to find around the plants. Blackberries are starting to color up. Lots of broccoli. Sting beans might be starting to taper off. Early corn is starting to form ears. Tomatoes are slow. Cukes and squash really slow, lots of blooms on the cukes but that's all. Carrots are pretty small yet. Temperature to go to the mid and upper 90's this week, so might move things along. Watering heavy to prepare for that.

For the first time ever, I have ripe tomatoes in the first week of July. It never happened to me before. And these are not cherry tomatoes but small (not beefsteak) salad tomatoes. I also harvested quite a few zucchini and the first cucumber.

Picked my first zucchini yesterday.
I know I will have more than I can use soon, but I always enjoy seeing that first one!
