Will you be growing any plants indoors during the off season?

I always think I would like to grow herbs indoors but they never get enough light to grow well.
I probably won't grow any garden plants indoors until Spring when I start my seeds.

My wife brings almost all the container flower and herb garden plants inside just before frost. It is a jungle in the house, but really is pretty nice to see green the whole bleary, dreary winter. Smells like spring all winter.

My curry tree, kaffir lime plants, bay laurel, and maybe that potted rosemary. The rosemary I'll put on the enclosed back porch, but I'll watch the temp back there, and bring it inside, if it gets below 20°, which would be much colder than that outside.
I always grow herbs, as well as some greens, in hydroponics in the off season. Some herbs I just can't be without! lol

My large potted plants all have to come inside before frost. Lime, lemon and orange trees, hibiscus (which the deer missed pruning this year, so I may actually see some blossoms!) Then a couple of amaryllis, and 5 hanging pots of fuchsias will be cut back to stumps and put in the unused north bedroom where it's coolest. A few more odds and ends I can't think of just now. I don't think I could stand our living room without a fair amount of greenery when the weather gets cold. It always looks so bare when the plants go outside in the spring.

Like rexx, There's not enough bright natural light for herbs to do well indoors for me... So it's just houseplants for me for the winter... september ...I like your hat...

Yeah, I have to grow my herbs under lights in the basement. But those larger ones, that I bring inside, grow in front of a south facing window, and they seem to get enough light there.

Over the years I have kept various potted food plants indoors for the winter, most notably a banana (BIG!) and a pineapple (SPIKY!), but I don't have anything like that any more. However, I already have some herbs set up to keep inside all winter. They are on a shelf under a grow light. I may add a couple more types of herbs and/or start some micro tomatoes as well - there's a little room left on the shelf and that just won't do! Things will get tricky in late winter/early spring when I need that shelf and grow light space for tomato and pepper seedlings. I am going to have to give that a little more thought.

I'm plotting! I have a nice sunny south facing window that really wants to grow some stuff. I just don't know what yet.

I have a fern that loves the outdoor shade plus an old hibiscus that come into the basement with fair light. They aren’t really happy until spring, but survive. Before the frost I hope to bring closer to the house, a few hot pepper plants that got skeletonized by the hail and are leaving out. I may or may not bring them inside.

No. I do not really like indoor plants, so I don't grow any. I have a small rosemary plant which will be taken inside, and that's it.
