Do you kneel, squat or just straight up sit down while gardening?

I never kneel since I have had knee issues for as long as I can remember. Squatting is out too since is really stresses my knees. I bend over from the waist which is bad for the back so I usually have a 5 gallon bucket with me and I rest one hand on the bucket and use my other hand to pull weeds. I can put the pulled weeds into the bucket and it gets dumped into the compost pile.
I don't miss kneeling because I always seemed to kneel on a rock or something anyway.

I didn't kneel, even before my knee injury. I keep 3 different height buckets - I think a 4 1/2, 5, and 6 gal - that I bought a seat for, and use the one that is best for the job.

Squat, kneel, crawl... you name it. the above, and also lay on my side when needed.

If it is necessary to get down at ground level, I have knee pads to save the knees.

Whatever is needed. I squat or bend over depending on what I am doing but try to do as must of it standing as possible. I don’t kneel.

My knees won't permit kneeling or squatting. I bend for short jobs and use garden seats for longer work.
