October 16th is our official average first frost date.
This year the first patchy frost was September 29th. That one missed me though! Our next door neighbor's lawn was completely white but not a speck of frost on our property.

October 15 here and last year we had frost on October 15 but I am expecting it a bit later this year. This coming week is supposed to feel like summer again at 80° and humid.

September 21-30th. Last few years it's been at least mid-October, but this year (bah!) it was on the mark.

Sept 15th. We had a hard frost last week. It was -4C. Wow! When is your last frost date in the spring? If you want to have a garden you really need to be on top of it, don't you?

Used to be around 10/21, but it's been many years since I have gotten a frost before November.

Nov 15-25 We used to get good and chilled in late October, but that hasn't happened in many a year now.

It's the last week of November or the first week of December most years.

Just went through the journal notes for the past 15 years. From September 18 to November 27. Pretty wide range. So I did the median thing and it hit October 15, just like all the first frost prediction websites said. Two weeks to go.

Average keeps changing according to source. In reality, any day after Sept 22 without frost is bonus time. Record lows for all dates after that are freezing. We came close a week ago. There was frost on the roofs of cars but everything safe at ground level.

First frost date? I don't think we have one. It gets close to frost some years, but not every year, and not for long periods of time. I think we've had one light frost in about 30 years.

Mid-October, but if we miss that date it often jumps to the beginning of November. I am not looking forward to it.

Official date is Nov 21-30, which corresponds well with my experience. Or around Thanksgiving, as I tend to think of it. (If frost comes before Thanksgiving, the collard greens are sweeter for the Thanksgiving feast. ) For early frosts, I have seen one freak frost in early October, and a few other years I have seen frost in late October. On the late end, a couple of times first frost has been in late December, and once it was January 6. But the first frost is between mid-November and mid-December in the vast majority of years.

First frost here is around the 15th of October, but the last few years it has been either very light or much later. With a little protection, I have had tomatoes in the garden till almost Thanksgiving, which isn't the norm.

Big weather variations in TN, first and last frost time varies by over a month. Generally can expect it any time from first of Oct to first of Nov in fall, or last frost any time from first of April into first part of May. Sometimes the first one is a killer, but more usually it's just real light, gets the tips of a few things, and many times it's been into Nov before we get a real garden killer. But one year it killed most everything the second day of Oct, and then didn't get another till into Nov.
