Thanks for confirming that Richard. Sometimes I just can't ignore posts or persons on my own... Better to admit that I need help doing so than to just Run Away..

And welcome back again, Blue! You were missed. Other forums also could use the ignore button, for sure.

Aghhhh man that is just not right !! I just come back and peeps are putting me on ignore already!! Well, I haven't yet, but then I haven't figured out that ignore feature yet! The folks here don't even bother to put me on ignore, they've learned to ignore me automatically when they see me post! ;D

It's just a button you can use to put someone on ignore if you don't like their posts! When you do use it you will no longer see their post, but you do have the option to un-ignore them if you choose to do so!

Comes in hand sometimes. Say for example, you just can't seem to get along with a particular person on a forum but you enjoy the majority of the members. You can put that person on Ignore, which means you can't see any of their posts. Like Unfriended someone.

It just seems sad that the ignore feature is available. It seems not that long ago, just driving down the road folks here would wave to oncoming traffic even if they didn't know them. That too has become an ignore button. I am perhaps a dinosaur.

I grew up in a small farming community where waving at oncoming traffic was the norm. No one waves where I live now. I'm just known (I'm sure) as the crazy woman who waves to EVERYBODY lol.

OGB, I can't believe that no one waves in your area? That was the thing that really impressed up when we first ventured down that way. They still do in some areas of the midwest. I think it makes strangers feel Welcome! Keep it up!

How terrible can a poster be that the mere sight of a few of their words causes you distress? I read lots of posts here and nothing has been that bad.

Horsea, maybe I'm just childish but there are people whose posts make me irate. If I can't block their posts then most times I end up quitting a forum because I find it almost impossible to ignore some of them without a feature such as this one. I'm sure there are lots of people that have me blocked.

Well, Blue I just hope its not me raising your ire.
If I have, I'm sorry.

Does this feature still work? It still works on other ProBoards forums. I don't think that it is something that a moderator can override. I find it interesting when some threads make no sense when someone is using it. Sort of a one-way conversation to a ghost which everyone else can hear.
