Nice to see another Crazy Plant Lady join us here at Not Just Tomatoes, tamaraann! And with a similar goal of mine this year to Grow All The Things! Feel free to make a little introductory post telling us a little about yourself- or you can do that here on this thread if you'd like too.

Thank you for all the welcomes! Well lets see. We have a homestead on 2 1/2 acres in Western WA. We have a huge veggie garden. The original one is over 2000 sq ft and then we keep adding Back to Eden style beds so I've lost track of the total square footage now. We also have a huge fruit garden with over a dozen fruit trees, 40 or so blueberry bushes, 60' of raspberries and 30' of grapes. Now trying to add some more variety. Last year we added 2 fig trees, a mulberry tree and 2 currant bushes and some elderberries.
We try to grow most of our own produce, and preserve a lot of it by canning, freezing, dehydrating.....We have about 30 chickens and 4 goats, 2 dogs and 2 cats. We have 3 girls who are almost all grown up now. Our youngest is a senior in High School so she will be leaving the coop soon.....:-(
And that's me!

Welcome, tamaraann , that's a lovely blog you have! I especially enjoyed the recent snow photo with the comment "chicken chores have lost their luster" You have a lot to keep you busy all year round!

Welcome tamaraann, I also read and enjoyed your blog and I hope that you will add posting on this forum to your list of activities. I also have and enjoy chickens but only have 10 of them and I always enjoy hearing "chicken chat" from others. They are just such interesting additions to the homestead.
