Are you cooking a big meal for Easter Sunday?
What's on your menu?

Spiral sliced ham, klobase and sauerkraut, and Slovak Easter cheese(Cirak). I may try making some of the Cirak with some of my crushed and dried habaneros to give it a little extra kick. And if I get time, I may make some potica, although with just the two of us, there is too much to eat or freeze.

I have not caught any missionaries in the past few years, but I remain hopeful.

I have an invitation to a friend's dinner, but I told him that I might be busy in the garden.

I got a free spiral cut ham from Giant so I am cooking that. It will just be a quiet dinner with hubby and I and I have not decided on side dishes yet but I may have enough asparagus to eat by then. That would be fun.
I may also pick up some locally made twice baked potatoes.

Son and his girlfriend are going sturgeon fishing on the Rainy River for the weekend, so no family plans. Jim and I will likely just go to the casino brunch buffet like other years. No gambling, just eating well.

This is the road trip I was just on! I flew to Arizona and we drove back here. He just found a place in Wooster for him and his wife. He is with us until May 5th. He will fly back to Arizona, pack up his stuff, get his wife and kittens and they are moving back so he can finish his degree in Ohio State U. So technically he won't be 'home' but he will only be 1 1/2 hours away!!!! Just a bit closer than Arizona! HAPPY DANCE!

That's wonderful spike, I am very happy for you. I lived 1 1/2 hours away from my parents for my entire adult life and a 90 minute drive is like nothing. Very often we would drive down just for the day and go home after dinner.

Going to Mom and Dad's who've said "don't bring anything". I'm still thinking I might make something to take. No idea what, as she hasn't decided on a menu yet. I might make an icebox cake or a key lime pie, or something along those lines.
