Hope it is dry enough to plant them out this coming weekend. Lot of rain every day until then.

All of mine were in by 4-24 - earliest date that I have ever planted! And yesterday morning - 4-29 - was the only "cold" night that I've had, when it got down to 44°. My tomato seedlings had grown incredibly fast, and in just 3 weeks from planting day - 4-1 to 4-21 - they looked like they usually do on 5-1, which is when I usually begin putting them out, if weather permits. This was because the seedling room had become very warm - mid to high 70s some days, compared to mid to high 60s, which it would normally be.

Next week. The plan was to begin hardening off today but it is too cold and damp. Day by day now. May 6 -10 is the target.

We had a spell of warm and dry weather the last couple of weeks and I started planting a few hardened off early tomatoes just after Easter. Today we have cool 41 degree temps with drizzle but all 11 plants are protected with recycled 5 gallon water bottles acting as cloches. And when the dreaded 30's arrive either tomorrow morning or Thursday, I have plenty of old blankets to further insulate the plantings.

Yes, but only those in large pots which retain heat better. Also ale to cover them with 5-gallon pails for protection. Didn't work as planned a few days ago when we bottomed around 25º. Lost a few but have back-ups for those. survivors never missed a beat and resumed growing the next day. Nothing going into the actual ground for at least 10 days.

Yes. Two weeks ago, and they are all doing well except the two the dog dug up so he could have a nice place to lie down

Hopefully in about 2 hours. The raised bed is constructed. I just bought 8 sacks of raised bed soil. The plants have been hardening off on the porch for 5 days. I located sacks of oak leaves by the curb earlier in the week. I'm running about 3 weeks late here. of course I planted tomatoes at Dad's about 3 or 4 weeks ago so it's a split vote.
I wish I knew somebody who needed extras locally. I am only going to plant a Black Cherry here. That means 3 more and a big red one will have to be culled.

I kind of have... I planted in my high tunnel this past week. those tomatoes are about a foot tall now. I still have a few more to plant in there along with peppers and eggplant. Then on to the outside stuff at the end of May.

Just planted 13 tomato plants in their buckets this evening, and planted 20 pepper, 5 Dino kale, 5 collards and 7 cabbage about a week and a half ago... just have cucumbers and some flowers for the wife to plant yet.

I wish. With all the happenings and then a sawmill job I got drugged off to do, and will continue for a week or two. Gardenin is getting delayed. But we have a good long growing season so late will still work. once the milling job is over I will put in some maters and peppers and work on building a garden fence around about an acre or so of fairly level space on the mountainside. Then add electric to it. The deer and coons are bad about eating stuff I like to grow.

reubent,Really would not worry about being behind. Last year I didn't even start any until 21 April. Meant that a lot of tiny plants went into the soil. Still had one of my better harvests. They catch up in a hurry once they are in the ground. Martin The truth is more important than the facts.
