Do you stick with planting vegetables or do you plant some annual flowers?

I always plant some marigolds so that I have some nice color in the Fall but I have lots of perennials so I don't add too many annuals.

We often plant sunflowers as a trap crop for stink bugs.

No flowers here, though I did have a patch of alyssum, which I had for the bees, but I destroyed it when I planted the asparagus. I'll have to find another spot for some. I tried some of the old seeds I had behind the shed, but I didn't see any come up - they were old seeds, however.

My realm is mostly the vegetable garden. My wife is in charge of flowers, both annual and perennial. However, we work together; she say where I should dig holes and plant the flowers. If something needs to be moved she tells me what to move and where to put it. Now that we have some raised beds, many of the vegetables have become the responsibility of my wife...green beans, radishes, carrots, beets, cucumbers. My granddaughter loves to plant stuff when she is here so we planted sunflowers together. I am down to tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, vine crops and sweet corn.
Our yard is full of flowers and my garden is full of tomatoes.

I plant flowers before I plant vegetables, and if it were for me, I would only grow flowers. But then we would miss fresh tomatoes, zucchini, string beans, peppers etc. This eating business always gets in the way of everything.

I have a 3'x12' strip of annual flowers bordering our deck, an oval 8'x10' flower garden with perennials and annuals away from the house on the lawn, and I have borders of snapdragons and other low growing annuals on the front of my vegetable garden. I love new and different varieties of flowers and try to grow them from seed when possible to save money.

I have lots of flowers and most of them are perennials. I add pansys in the winter and petunias in the summer. There's always something blooming in my yard.

Always plant zinnias and marigolds at the community garden.
At home, there are w-a-y too many perennials to count or list. Right now the iris on the edges of the vegetable garden are in bloom as well as other volunteers.
