I have bought watermelon twice lately but it's not my favorite. Honeydew melon is my favorite but I like the others as well.
What's your favorite?

I prefer a seeded watermelon, but not as easy to find anymore. Hermiston Oregon is famous for their melon, they should be coming to market some.

A good sweet red firm juicy watermelon.
Honeydews unfortunately give me a sore throat.

That's a tough question brownrexx. I love them all. We grow Minnesota Midget Mellons due to the room and they are delicious little treats. Fruits are just sooooo good.

The question is which is my favorite or which will my family eat. While I likeCanary, Crenshaw, and cantaloupe all of them make my mother’s hyatal hernia act up. My younger sister and her daughter seem to be heading that way. That pretty much leaves watermelon which is fine with me.

I like watermelon, but a nice very sweet cantaloupe would be my 2nd choice. Some shorter season melons I have luck with are Blacktail Mountain and Halona F1. I get better production from the cantaloupe, but since you can only eat so many melons fresh, it's not a big thing.

Sugar Baby for a small watermelon and Crimson Sweet for large ones. Both have seeds but taste is worth the spitting.

I like Black Diamond, but since we just cannot use such large melons I plant Crimson Sweet. Still looking for the best cantaloupe---most are not sweet enough to please, though I like them.

I like cantaloupe best, but it just doesn't grow well here - bugs get to them. That's why I am growing watermelon this year. Those little things are up to 5' now!

Ox, if I have to send you anything for next year, remind me to include some Montreal/Nutmeg cantaloupe. If you have the space, that's one of the most unique tasting one I've ever found. It indeed smells like nutmeg.

My nephews wife picked and ate our first watermelon of the year. It was an icebox size Wilson’s Sweet. No report on the taste yet.

Watermelon. I usually grown one variety each summer. Cantaloupe was my father's favorite so we ate it A LOT growing up....therefore, I usually pass on it. Only tried to grow it once. I'm due for a second attempt.

Hands down my homegrown Crimson Sweet. They are addictive. Next, any seeded watermelon. Melons are fine but for me it is hard to find a variety that grows well in my area. i had better luck with volunteers.

Favorite watermelon is bull frog, otherwise I like black diamond and orange glo, and lots more, of the muskmelons and honeydew I have no favorites, there are so many good ones I can't pick just one.
