You might call it stuffing, dressing or filling but will you be making this on Thanksgiving?
Do you cook yours in the turkey, the oven, the slow cooker?
Do you use a special type of bread and do you add do you add something else like sausage or apples?
I grew up eating stuffing from inside of the turkey. It tasted great and we never got sick but now that I know about cooking to a temperature of 165°, I don't do that anymore. I don't want to overcook the turkey to make sure that the stuffing is hot enough.
Stuffing cooked in a casserole dish in the oven always seems too dry to me so last year I discovered using the slow cooker for 2-3 hours and it tasted great.
I still call it stuffing even though it is no longer cooked stuffed inside of a turkey but people in my PA Dutch area call it filling and they mix mashed potatoes with the bread cubes. It tastes pretty good but is way too heavy for my taste. They also eat mashed potatoes on the side. Talk about carb overload!
I love cornbread stuffing but last year I made a combination of bread cubes and cornbread cubes and it was good. No fruits or other meats.

Cornbread and rice dressing made in a casserole dish in the oven. Mom keeps a lid on it while baking.

MIL is doing the dressing this time. I assume she will bake it like she has in the past.

I bake mine in the oven but not in the turkey. Mostly cause we don't really care for turkey. I make a cornbread dressing with mushrooms.

My wife makes a chicken and dressing in the oven, and I make a turkey gravy from the drippings...

Love Stove Top here. Doesn't have to be a holiday or with turkey. Just a substitute for potatoes now and then. Quick and easy to make and a welcome taste. At the family feasts, just too many to feed to rely on what can be stuffed in the bird.

We use Stove Top as a base for our stuffing. Add dried bread, spices, celery, onion, and what all.
I like to bake the dressing on the side. Sweetie is a stuff the bird person. When she gets to the point of rendering the skeleton and such for broth the stuffing bits do add to that nicely.
