Was at the vet today and had it confirmed that my boy is blind. We knew there was an issue with his vision but didn't realize he was blind. Happened so fast. Fortunately he is familiar with the house and yard. I will be his eyes and he will continue to be my Good Boy always.

We had a blind cocker spaniel and he did just fine around the house. He knew exactly where my son's bed was.

Dogs depend on their nose and ears more than their sight. He is probably already used to it.

I was with the people that supposedly rescued him from the shelter as a pup. Then he was pretty mistreated by them. Then they deserted him behind an empty house with no food or water in a broken down pen. We rescued him for reals this time and brought him home. Took him to have him vet checked and found he was full of heart worms. That treatment was horrifying. He has been my side kick from that moment on so we got this! We have a very small house where nothing changes, he is used to his potty yard and the back acre is fenced in for the pups to run and he is familiar with that also. I think we will do just fine!
