Do you eat by the clock? By which I mean, to give an example, it's 1pm...therefore it's lunchtime! Or do you eat when you're actually hungry?

I pretty much eat by the clock for breakfast and dinner but lunch may vary. I snack when I am hungry in between.

I definitely don't eat "by the clock". I get up at various times, and breakfast is not too long after. Lunch, when and if I'm hungry - in garden season I might be snacking on things out there. I eat later than I should, sometimes, again, often affected by doing things out there in gardening season!

I nibble/graze a bit throughout the day but make lunch for hubby noonish and I make dinner between 5 and 6.

Eating habits are pretty much by the clock. Wife was a bridle diabetic, so it was important for staying on somewhat of a schedule. Have pretty much stayed at that. Most of the time, supper was at 5:00, when the local news was on. My evening snack is usually about 9 or so.

No clock ever for breakfasts or lunch. Husband and I eat casual meals separately whenever we are hungry. Supper we eat together, usually sometime between 5:30 to 6:30 PM depending on how long it takes me to decide on and cook the meal.

Lunch around noonish and supper around sixish. Old habits die hard but we are less strict at eating times than when we had kids around and schedules to follow. The eating habit I am trying to break is the midnight (or even later) snack. I read from 11 PM until 1 or 2 and have a tendency to have a piece of toast or bowl of cereal in the middle of the night.

I generally eat when I am hungry, and my stomach seems to operate on a pretty consistent schedule. Breakfast and dinner are usually consumed at the same time everyday, but lunch time varies. I am not that hungry at lunch time for the most part, so I eat a quick snack at 1-2 pm and that is enough for me.

Dinner is fairly regular for most of the year at 6pm, give or take half an hour depending on when I actually finish cooking. Sometimes we have an early dinner to accommodate my high schooler's band schedule (so he can eat before a football game or concert). But dinner does tend to slide later in the summertime when the kids don't have a strict schedule to adhere to. And it feels weird to me to eat dinner when the sun is still so high in the sky!
The kids eat breakfast before school and take lunch to school. Now that he is mostly working from home, DH and I don't eat until after I take the kids to school, and the timing is flexible. And on any given day I may skip breakfast and/or lunch.

We eat when we're hungry. That said, my husband has a metabolism of a teen age boy and is hungry all the time but never gains a pound, so I don't eat every time he's hungry.
