We used to grow some Anaheim peppers for stuffing, but now use the sweet bells and long peppers for that. We even stopped making our own salsa so the jalapeño peppers went by the wayside. As we age we like the sweets and not the hots. Our daughter-in-law who is the hot pepper eater now grows her own, so no need for us to do hot peppers.

King of the North is one of 7 sweets sewed but a no-show so far. Not worried as I can get plants at Jung's. Sweets with great germination were Fooled You, Melrose, and Sweet Cayenne. For hot ones, there are Bulgarian Carrot, Carolina Reaper, and Rain Forest. Sweet ones for us and hot ones for African friends.

Too soon for me, though a couple really slow and late ones I may plant soon for a friend, who has no seed starting setup. 4-1 is my usual day - even that late, a couple, like superchilis, anchos, and jalapeños, that usually grow very quickly, start flowering, before they can go out (usually around 5-15), so I might start those a little later!
