I just noticed that I no longer have the ability to edit my own posts.
Was that feature intentionally removed?

Laura_in_FL,I think that a poster can only edit their posts for a certain time period. Maybe 30 minutes? Note: I just made this post and after I submitted it I could see the edit button but I think that will disappear later.

I also noticed the change. Tried to clarify an error on a post and could not. I think I reposted with a quote...maybe...or not. But that is what I would do. Better be more careful with what I write and check wording, grammar and the auto spellchecks.

Yes, I noticed that also. We used to be able to edit or even delete a post. I don’t like the new change.

I noticed this recently on my tablet, after about 20 minutes, but I can go to my phone or PC and still edit! This isn't happening on another Pro Boards forum I use, and I've noticed that NJT before would also stop allowing editing sooner, after maybe a day or so, yet the other forum would still allow it for several days. Makes no sense at all, but I see others are also getting this!
Example - I just posted this on the tablet, and 6 minutes later, I couldn't edit. But I'm doing this on my phone now. Also, I just went on the other forum, and went to a post I did on 10-25, and I could still edit.

Tville stopped allowing you to edit or delete your posts at one time. Not sure if it is still like that or not. I don't like it either.

Now I'm on my PC, and it won't let me edit things here. And I click the post options, which is how I edit on the phone, and nothing happens.

Yes, the edit button is back, thanks! I don't mind a time limit on editing, so people can't revise history. But it was frustrating to not be able to fix typos immediately after posting. I appreciate you fixing it, daylilydude.

I must not have made any mistakes (!?) while it was unavailable because I never missed the function. If there has to be a time limit, I would think 2 days, or even 24 hrs would be enough. I do often catch my misspelling or misuse when I go back and see other replies a day later.
On the other hand, remember when we had a thread about taking a picture from the same place in our yard for a year? There it made sense to be able to edit the original post so that each person's photos would be in sequence in one post so you could easily scroll to see the changes in their yard.

Sorry but I had to make a quick decision as a member here got all twiterpated about another member being banned (not gonna use names)that they came in here real early in the morning and started taking their post out, i'm glad I was here to catch it as it was making the reply's on some threads look really stupid, so I threw that on and just forgot to turn it off after they were banned... again sorry for the mess up.
