I'd eat a small amount of any of these, but generally never crave them and rarely buy them.

I think the ones we get are called “best made” I only buy hamburger slices. I eat them occasionally with bbq. I like the ones with Alum. I like them to “crunch!”

I don’t want any home made kerosene pickles. My sister cuts up cucumbers puts them in a bowl of vinegar with black pepper. I ain’t never tried one and chances are I won’t. Not much on cukes.

I like both dill and garlic alot! I don't like to taste too much vinegar, so I actually prefer fermented pickles. Love, love, love, fresh cucumbers in sour cream and dill dressings. Just picked my first garden cucumber today!

For the last several years I have been making refrigerator dills for DH. I don't really care for dill pickles but he loves there. They are just sliced cukes, water, white vinegar, fresh dill, fresh garlic and canning and pickling salt.
I just made some last week with the 9 year old grand daughter and she eats them like candy.

Our homemade pickles always tasted like Aunt Bee's from the Andy Griffith Show.

daylilydude, why there is no "all of the above" option?!? Seriously, I will eat and enjoy just about any type of pickle as long as it isn't too spicy-hot (because I am a pepper wimp). As far as picking which jar of pickles to sit down and finish in one sitting, that is a hard choice. I chose bread and butter, but kosher spears are also addictive to me.

I've made kosher dills with a garlic clove and a hot pepper in the jar. Been many years though.

Our homemade pickles always tasted like Aunt Bee's from the Andy Griffith Show. Ain’t that the truth! Kerosene pickles! I’ve never had a homemade one that I liked. We had some good Czech canners in the community too, but those pickles were NOT worth opening the jar to get. Of course that said, I dislike vinegar.

Most all, less on the sweet ones except good bread and butter ones.
