Do you snack, and do you have a favorite? Oh, and do your snacks change with the time of day and the different seasons?

Me and snacks are very familiar. My favorite is a homemade combination of mixed nuts, peanut M&Ms, cheddar fish crackers, Cheet-os, and fritos. All mixed up and eaten any time or season. My biggest problem is chocolate in any form...I am a chocoholic. I love donuts but lately have substituted bagels. Generally it is all washed down with Diet Soda, mostly Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper or Diet Cherry Coke or Pepsi.

Not much snack food around most of the time, because I have little self control when comes to salty chips, they'd be gone in one or two sittings. Only buy if we are having guests. No deserts, except for special occasions. If I miss a meal, I may rustle up crackers & cheese or a toasted bagel with something on it. Or a piece of rye bread with cream cheese, tomatoes and onions. Don't like carbonated drinks, so no soda pop. (Unless I am eating pizza!) Ice water, hot unsweetened teas, coffee with cream and skim milk are my normal drinks.
Oh wait, full disclosure, I do keep a bag of Hershey's Dark Chocolate Nuggets with Almonds in my bread drawer. Some days I will have one or two squares after a meal as a dessert, but then I may forget about them for a few days since they are out of sight.

Potato chips. Major weakness. Sometimes chocolate. I can go months and months not even thinking about chocolate but when it is time, do not get between me and the chocolate. Not often but maybe once a month an A & W root beer!

Hmm. No one wants to read the wall of text that a full answer would require. The short version is that I like a whole bunch of snacks, with particular weaknesses for Doritos (which I rarely keep around for the same reason september mentioned) and anything with dark chocolate. When I am trying to watch my diet/reduce carbs, I snack on berries or nuts (I have to weigh out a portion of nuts or I will greatly overeat them), and I try to snack as little as possible. Dessert will usually be 1-2 squares of really dark (86%) chocolate, or a dessert mocha using a sugar-free chocolate protein shake for the chocolate and either unsweetened or sugar-free whipped cream on top. And of course I have to make it with decaf coffee because I can only tolerate a small amount of caffeine, which the chocolate already provides.

Lately I've really been digging pimento cheese spread on crackers. I usually use Ritz or those extra seedy Crunchmaster crackers, but I also like using pretzel chips and pita chips. Yesterday I bought naan chips- never saw those before- but I got flavored ones. I should have bought plain ones to scoop up pimento cheese!

I have discovered a sour cream Dill Dip at Aldi's that is really good with crackers, as a baked potato topping, or even as a sandwich spread instead of mayo. It has a bit of texture, I think maybe some finely chipped bits of pickle?

I don't snack and I don't have any snack food around the house, but my weakness would be Kettle Cooked Potato Chips. If a bag of those is in the house, I cannot keep myself away from it and this why I don't buy them. Another irresistible snack is what my son introduced me to: Jimmy Jones Jalapeño Chips. They are delicious and addictive, so I only get them occasionally. As far as drinks, I don't drink sodas. I don't like most carbonated drinks except regular Pepsi in a mini, 7.5 fl oz can which I also buy maybe once a year. I much prefer drinking water and tea.

I have discovered a sour cream Dill Dip This made me laugh! Just yesterday I took the bro to the store and we stared at sour cream dill dip through the glass wondering if it was any good. We ended up passing on it cause "who knows" but now I do

I absolutely love regular potato chips and rarely buy them due to lack of self control.
I also love desserts of almost any kind and I rarely make them for the same reason that I don't buy chips. I do sometimes buy the single slices of cake for us for a treat. Yes, it costs about as much as buying half of a cake but at least we don't eat half of a cake!

The most recent was Frosted Blueberry Shredded Wheat, but I keep unsweetened apple sauce cups on hand as well as fruit flavored greek yogurt cups. Triscuit crackers are good also.
